Synopsis

NIGHT PEOPLE PART 2 - THE CORROSIVE MAN Derek Mitchell rises from the chemical fire, alive but now mutated into a hideous creature whose skin is perpetually coated with a layer of powerful acid. Angry and confused, Mitchell horribly wounds several of the firefighters and policemen on the scene, attracting Batman's attention. Mitchell eventually overpowers Batman as well, then flees the scene in a stolen truck, still looking for revenge on Kadaver.  "Kadaver" is in fact Mortimer Kadaver, a melodramatic but ruthless crime boss whose flunky, Webley, had committed the Cardboard City murder. Kadaver is furious, however, when he learns that Webley had killed the wrong vagrant; the true target was to be Dalton "California" Walls, whose death had been contracted for a fortune.   A reluctant Webley is sent back to Cardboard City, where he successfully murders Walls. Unfortunately, Batman, passing by the area in pursuit of Mitchell, catches him right in the act.
